Famous Women With Big Feet

Besides Bigfoot and his snowy cousin, the Yeti, it seems we forget that there are famous folk under the glare of the spotlight who have incredibly large feet. These aren’t necessarily always obvious candidates either – some will surprise, shock and delight and your very favourite singer, actor or artist may well be on the list.

We’ll start with the ladies who have beautiful size 9 boats to show off. Now, how many women do you know who have size 9 feet? Not many, right? Try Gwyneth Paltrow, Princess Diana, Michelle Obama, Angelina Jolie and – yes you are reading this right – the slight, elfin actress Audrey Hepburn. All size 9’s, all queens of the mighty foot.

Just missing out on the top spot for our ladies big foot list are the size 8-9’s and a few fall under this none-too-shabby category. Naomi Campbell, Anne Hathaway, Cindy Crawford, Charlize Theron, Jackie Kennedy and Mariah Carey are amongst the crowded bunch.

There are two female stars who take a remarkable sized 10 shoe. Geena Davis, the actress famed for dating ‘The Fly’ and big budget flop ‘Cutthroat Island’ is one of them and the other is, maybe not too surprisingly, Aussie supermodel and ‘Body’ Elle Macpherson.

Notable near misses are the 9.5 shoes of Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Hudson and Kate Beckinsale. Hollywood it seems is practically littered with large female feet.

No surprises for guessing that ex-catwalk models have mammoth feet then, but there are some famous women whose hooves don’t seem to add up. After all, doesn’t shoe size correlate with your height? Often, but not always. Take Scarlett Johansson for example and Audrey Hepburn. Neither are anywhere near approaching 6 foot, but both have ample foot proportions.

The list of size 8-10’s is much more extensive than the few names scattered here even. Household stars such as Cate Blanchett, Tyra Banks, Jessica Biel and Kate Winslett all fit comfortably into the size 9 category. It seems plenty of powerful women have powerfully built feet. Many are indeed tall and above average height, but some are just big footers and no doubt, proud.

Famous women can definitely have big feet then. They are not all perfectly petite and possess delicate little tootsies that could break in the wind. In many ways, it’s nice to know that, profession and payroll aside, they are every bit as normal human beings as the rest of us, in all our sizes.
